 My husband, John and I have been married for 20 years. Both of our daughters grew up in Milan and attended Milan Area Schools. We became hooked on Milan after reading a “Way Back When” column by Warren Hale in the Milan Leader. We bought our first home here in 1995 and have lived here since. I joined the paper and penned a weekly column called, “Running-A-Muck.” When the two Milan newspapers became one, the Milan News-Leader, I became the ‘beat’ reporter for the City of Milan. For the past 10 years I have enjoyed writing articles about the people and events of Milan. What I enjoyed most was covering the Milan City Council and the local political scene. I have attended more council meetings and work sessions than any sitting elected official, and have gained a wealth of knowledge from that perspective.
