My friends and fellow citizens,

Thank you all for your support in this election. I am both humbled and honored by the responsibility you’ve bestowed upon me. Thank you for entrusting me with this inherently important job.  As your mayor I will work very hard to lead the city in a sensible and focused direction.

I would also like to extend a special thanks to the members of my campaign committee.  This group of dedicated individuals worked diligently to run an enthusiastic and engaging campaign. This win is as much theirs as mine.

And finally, I would like to thank Michael Armitage for keeping us all on our toes and working hard, and running a campaign that anyone could be proud of.
